Charter Telecom is working with a major hosting company that specializes in the world-wide gaming industry to supply its international branches with top-of-the-line network infrastructure equipment, such as Juniper M320 routers.
The customer, which has locations in countries as far afield as the UK, Singapore and Malta, chose Charter because of our logistical expertise in complex, international high-tech deliveries: Charter’s team has considerable experience in international business and a special relationship with Juniper – Charter is Juniper’s Canadian Enterprise Partner of the Year.
In this case, Charter was able to ensure trouble-free procurement and staging of products in different countries, as well as the delivery to the client’s branches. Our logistics team worked with the customer to handle all shipping, duties and taxes for the routers, while working in the currency of their choice. We also worked with our partner Juniper’s support team to ensure that the customer had the appropriate support contract in place, wherever the branch.
This customer’s international branches depend on high-performance networking to gather information, and provide a compelling user experience; they then send data back to the customer’s Central Canada-based data centre – the hub of their international hosting business. Charter partnered with ISPs local to the branches to ensure smooth data delivery, and is also working on security products for the data centre, such as Juniper firewalls and intrusion detection products.
